That sounds like a cool trip. How safe do you feel down there? It seems like the town is safe and travelling in your big group works. But will just you and another girl feel safe on a trip that remote? What's it like in that regard? Kate and I just finished our 9 day road trip through Central Mexico. So I'm not one to lecture on being too scared in foreign countries. But I can tell you that I wouldn't hav done it in Venezuela for example.
